I find it so hard to believe I used to really dislike physics. That is actually an understatement because it was the one class that I dreaded having to go to. My parents decided that they needed to look into A Level physics tuition before I closed too many doors to my future with my intense dislike of the subject. They were puzzled as to why I did not like the course at school, but I was not. It was just boring, and I saw no purpose for it. I tried to do good in the class, but I just didn’t get it.
They were worried about the possibility of me failing it, which I knew was not going to happen. I knew the teacher would pass me at least with a low grade rather than a failing one, but my parents wanted more for me. They were right in looking at further instruction for me, because I learned that it is not the subject that was boring but the way it was being presented. The first time I went to the tuition centre, I had no idea what to expect.
The tutor was very lively and passionate about physics, and that actually made all the difference to me as well as others in the class. I recognized a few kids from my own physics class from school there, and we all were amazed at how much difference this class was from our own. He made physics come alive for me, and I could not get enough. My grade improved to the point where it shocked even my parents, and I even maintained that grade in school because I knew then how to make the lessons more exciting for myself. I have learned so much from this, and I am extremely grateful that my parents were so hands on with my education!
